Software update available today enables industry-first panel camera and increases support for the internet of things (IoT)

Shortly after releasing its revolutionary IQ Panel, Qolsys showcased another industry first by using its over-the-air software update capability to activate the built-in panel camera, enhancing the industry’s first all-in-one 7″ touchscreen security and home control platform.
The innovative Qolsys platform allows software updates to be pushed to the IQ Panel via Wifi, ensuring that the panel always offers the latest features and functionality, including forward compatibility for the Internet of Things.

The IQ Panel was specifically designed to be updated remotely. This software update is the first demonstration of this functionality and dealers can push this software update to customer panels using Alarm.com AirFX.
The IQ Panel is currently the only platform that boasts a built-in camera. The new disarm photo feature captures an image of the individual deactivating the system, along with a date/time stamp and whether or not a valid code was used.
