The Intertek ETL Listed Alarm System Certification program works to maintain the highest level of alarm system reliability and ensure that products used for security and life safety comply with all federal, national and local standards and codes in both the United States and Canada.

– UL 985: Requirements cover household fire warning system control units intended to be installed in accordance with the National Fire Alarm Code, ANSI/NFPA 72, and the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70.
– UL 1023: Requirements cover burglar-alarm system units intended for use in residential applications.
– CAN/ULC – 5545: Canadian requirements for residential fire warning systems.
– CAN/ULC – 51023: Canadian requirements for household burglar alarm system units.
