7” Secondary Touchscreen Tablet Pairs With Award Winning IQ Panel 2
FEBRUARY 27, 2018 – SAN JOSE, CA. – Qolsys, a leading provider of security and smarthome technology, announced today that the IQ REMOTE is now available. The IQ REMOTE is a 7” secondary touchscreen tablet with a built-in camera that supports full security, life safety and Z-Wave control. Complimenting the award-winning IQ Panel 2, the IQ REMOTE provides additional secondary full-feature access to the security and smart home system.

The IQ REMOTE provides a convenient way to arm and disarm your IQ Panel 2 and control Z-Wave devices including lights, locks, thermostats and garage openers from other home locations. It comes with a wall mount and table stand option and up to three (3) IQ REMOTES can be paired directly with the IQ Panel 2 via Wi-Fi or by using the Panel Access Point. In addition, the IQ REMOTE provides key features like voices, chimes, emergency panics, and a siren, uses its built-in camera to capture photos when the system is disarmed. The IQ REMOTE is fully upgradeable over the air as new software updates are available.
The IQ REMOTE is released in conjunction with the 2.1.0 software update for the IQ Panel 2. The 2.1.0 software activates the IQ Panel 2’s built-in camera as an activity motion sensor, adds a “Manage My Home” page to the IQ Panel 2 interface allowing the end user to check system health by ensuring Wi-Fi connectivity and checking for software updates. 2.1.0 software also introduces “Night Time Mode,” for greater management of custom settings for sleep/wake functions and individual settings for chimes, voice and display allowed on each installed IQ Remote during evening hours.
